Addu City, Maldives – Sparkhub, in collaboration with Dhiraagu, has successfully concluded the Lean Startup Maldives 2024 – Addu Edition, marking a significant milestone as the programme was held in Addu City for the first time. The bootcamp attracted 50 enthusiastic participants, eager to embrace lean principles to drive innovation and entrepreneurial growth in the Maldives.

The Lean Startup Maldives 2024 – Addu Edition was an intensive, hands-on startup bootcamp designed to immerse participants in the fundamentals of lean methodology. Over the course of the programme, aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators were equipped with practical tools and strategies to develop customer-centric solutions, test hypotheses, and iterate based on real-time feedback.

Participants explored key elements of the startup process, including customer validation, business model development, and product-market fit. Through collaborative teamwork, idea generation, and experimentation using tools such as the Javelin Experiment Board, attendees were guided on how to test assumptions, refine ideas, and build scalable business models. The bootcamp also emphasized the importance of effective communication and understanding customer needs to design impactful products and services.

At the closing ceremony, Fathmath Neesha, Community Development Officer at Sparkhub, expressed her enthusiasm:

Mohamed Mirshan Hassan, Director of Brand & Marketing Communications at Dhiraagu, highlighted the broader vision of the programme:

Participants shared how the bootcamp transformed their understanding of entrepreneurship, highlighting newfound confidence in applying lean thinking, conducting customer interviews, validating solutions, and using structured frameworks to accelerate their innovation process.

The event wrapped up with interactive sessions led by experts, practical group work, and reflection on the journey of entrepreneurship — reinforcing Sparkhub and Dhiraagu’s shared mission to build entrepreneurial capacity and nurture the local startup ecosystem.
